What is NetIP-Dallas?

NetIP-Dallas,Inc. is part of Network of Indian Professionals-North America, which is the largest professional organization for working professionals from the Indian subcontinent in North America. We focus on four areas:

Professional Development (NetIP-North American Annual Conference, E-Commerce Seminar, Investment Club, High profile speaker sessions)
Community Service (Medisend, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Soup Kitchens)
Networking (Mix ‘n Mingle, Dinner Circle, Book Club)
Cultural (Karma, Niravana, Masti)

NetIP is the largest professional organization for working professionals from the Indian / South Asian subcontinent in North America. NetIP is a 100% volunteer organization, and our membership and leadership consists of members from every walk of life, from self-employed entrepreneurs to individuals working in every major corporation in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Why should I join NetIP-Dallas?        

NetIP-Dallas as well as NetIP-North America are both run by volunteers such as yourself, people in the working community who give of themselves to offer enriching and entertaining activities for Indian and South Asian professionals in their community. Your membership and participation are important for two reasons:    

Your membership dues provide us with a source of revenue that enables us to provide worthwhile activities for you, or members. We rely on our membership dues as well as revenue generated from ticket sales at activities to fund the majority of our events. 
NetIP-Dallas needs one very important natural resource to survive as an organization; that is you, our members. As we are a 100% volunteer organization, our future is shaped by the participation and input that you provide. Our leadership is formed of people just like you who give their time to plan and implement new activities and ideas. Therefore, your participation will ensure a bright future for NetIP-Dallas

What is a NetIP Membership Card?

The NetIP North America membership cards are standardized across all NetIP NA Chapters. These cards are developed and supplied by NetIP-North America and are identical for each chapter. On the card the following are listed: your name, NetIP-NA logo, and the NetIP NA web page address. The card along with a valid government issued photo ID indicates that you are a NetIP member regardless of if you attend an event locally here in Dallas or an event in another city’s NetIP Chapter. So for example, if you attend an event hosted by NetIP New York, you pay the member rate for that event by using your membership card along with a photo ID to prove that you are a NetIP member.

What are your policies towards transferred members?

Members moving to another city on a permanent basis are treated as members for 3 months upon arrival at the new city. Following the 3 month period, you must become a member of the new local chapter and will receive a new membership card for that chapter. The membership card is not transferable and not replaceable for the duration of the membership term (December 31, 2003).                

Is there a NetIP North America Chapter in my city?  

There are numerous NetIP chapters outside of Dallas. Within Texas, apart from Dallas, Houston and Austin have local chapters. Many of the major cities in North America have NetIP chapters. As a member of your local NetIP chapter, you can attend other chapters’ events at member rates. For more information on NetIP NA Chapters, you can either visit www.netip.org.
